Simple x-mas card!!!

Ok, I am browsing my favorite blogs list yesterday, and what do I see? This post on Jana Millen's blog, here.

I had just purchased the stamp set that she used at Archiver's last week with my fabulous 30% off coupon! Great minds think alike, right Jana? I love the fact that is has the Christian beliefs about Christmas in the set, and have been looking for something similar for awhile. So, the day that I purchased the set, I sat right down in their workroom and created the following very simple one layer card with it:

Jana has a photo of the whole set on her blog, go there and take a peek, then leave her a nice comment. As you can see I made it very, very simple. Heat embossed with gold Embossing powder, rounded the corners with my round corner punch, and added some gold shiny string. Took me all of about 5 minutes, gotta love it! If you need any last minute cards, highly recommend this layout!

Come back tomorrow, and I will see what other quick Christmas cards I have laying around my craft table to show you.

Until Next time.... Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday!

Christmas, is the name of the image we are showing you this week from Stamp-n-doodle. It is a cute image of 3 children peeking around a corner watching Santa eat cookies. Here is what I made with it:

I am all about simple card designs as you all know, especially this time of the year when life gets really hectic getting ready for Christmas. I added some tinsel glitter to Santa's outfit, it actually photographed pretty well for a change. lol. I love the sparkle! Hope you do too!

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday!

Welcoem to another Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday! We DT ladies have a very cute image of 3 children bringing home their Christmas tree to show off to you today. The image is called "Tree". Here is what I created with it:

As soon as I saw this I knew that I wanted to cut it out with an oval and mount it onto a Stampin Up Top Note Di-cut. The top note was cut out of SU Certainly Celery, the card base is Garden Green. The greeting is from the retired SU stamp set called "Party Punch". I first stamped it in Garden Green ink, and punched it out, then stamped it again in Cherry Cobbler, then punched out the center with a 1" circle punch and layered it on top of the Garden green image with a foam pop dot. I added a couple of red sticky pearls, and that was it. Simple and Elegant was the look that I was after with this image. Hope you like it.

Now, Stamp-n-doodle is hosting their weekly challenge which is using the colors Red, Green, and one other color, I chose Blue. You can also use neutrals and skin colors if you need to. So, visit the other DT members blogs (links on my sidebar), and then the SND blog to join in the weekly challenge to win free digis. Good luck to all of you.

Until Next time..........Blessings, Lisa

Clean and Simple Cards

Well, I am really late posting this, the clean and simple blog is able to post their new sketches faster than I can craft with them, but I wanted to still show you this sketch and my samples because it is an awesome sketch with so many possibilities, from using stamps, to buttons, to flowers, to embellishments. Gotta love it! Ok, here is the sketch:

Now, here are all of the cards that I made with it:

This one I used a Martha Stewart Punch

Martha Stewart punch again

Strange little di cuts that I have no idea who made. I run them through my Cuttlebug.

I love this little Turkey

Here is a picture of the di-cuts, if you know their brands, please leave me a comment and let me know. Greatly appreciated.

Oh, please excuse the colors on this photos, not at all good today. We all know by now that my photography skills are not the greatest.

Now, I am off to go visit the clean and simple blog and see how many sketches I am behind on. lol. You can find a link to their blog on my sidebar under my favorite blogs list.

Until next time.......... Blessings, Lisa

The challenge this week is to either dry or heat emboss on our creations, as you can see, I completely forgot to do that! Please forgive me!!! sniff sniff. ok, enough brown nosing. This new image could not have come at a more perfect time, because last week we went to our local SPCA and got a new kitty! He is a 4 month old male kitty that we call Phamton. Some Stampin Up Halloween and Thanksgiving!

Welcome back to my blog. I went to a Stampin Up workshop last week and made a couple of cards. Yay! I love when someone else does the design work and I just get to stamp. So, I cannot take the credit for the following cards, they were designed by my good friend, ex-SU leader, and current Stampin Up demonstrator...Teri Frietch! She does not have a blog, so I occasionally post her stuff here on my blog!

The first card that we made is a Halloween card. The stamp set is called Festive & Fun from the current SU Holiday Mini catalog. There are three stamps in the set, one for Christmas, one for Valentine's Day and this one for Halloween:

The next card is a Thanksgiving card and I apologize, but I cannot seem to find the name of the Stamp sets that these stamps are from. If I do find out, I will edit this post. I love the layout of the card, hope it inspires you to get crafting.

Now, keep coming back and visiting me because I went nuts with a card sketch from the clean and simple blog that I will be posting sometime on Thursday! I just can't stop making cards with this one. There is a link to their blog on my sidebar if you want a sneak peek of the sketch.

Until Next time...............Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday

Hello and welcome back to another Stamp-n-doodle Day!!! As I told you last week, Lynne at Stamp-n-doodle has created a bunch of new images that are absolutely adorable, and you need to come back and visit the SND blog and DT members each week to see what cute inspiration we have to show off to you and to enter in their weekly contest to win free digi images!

Anyhoo, let me introduce you to "Swing", with the theme being "The Great Outdoors".

The card base is Stampin Up Creamy Caramel (I think that color is retired now), the other colors are DCWV fall colors. The punch that I used is a very old Fiskars border punch, I still love it though. I colored the image with a combination of Copic, Prismacolor and Stampin Up markers. Of course I had to add bling, I got the ones on this card from the dollar bins at Michael's craft store.

Until next time..............Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday!

It's Sports week at Stamp-n-doodle, and I chose to use the adorable image called Biker Ride. It is too cute! It is of a boy taking his little sister for a ride on his bike. It reminds me of my childhood since I had two big brothers and one of them used to take me for rides like this all of the time, and we also had a little dog that ran beside us just like in the image. So here it is:

Now, head on over to the Stamp-n-doodle blog and also visit the other DT member blogs for inspiration, and join in on the challenge to win free digis!

Before I leave I would like to give a big welcome to Doreen, our newest DT member, she is an awesome papercrafter, so don't forget to visit her blog as well, and leave a comment to welcome and congratulate her!!!!

God Bless the USA

I have been fortunate enough to not have any family or friends that have been killed either in the 9-11-01 attacks or in either of the wars that the US is involved in at the current time, but I still want to pay tribute to those that do or did. Please say prayers today for all of the military or civilian citizens who have either lost their lives or loved ones in the terrorist attacks or wars.

Stamp-n-doodle Monday!

Welcome to Stamp-n-doodle Monday, we are showing off an image called "Polar Bear Family" today and the challenge is to make a card with a fancy fold, which can be anything other than the most typical A2 fold. I chose to make my card with the Gate fold. Here is what I made:

I decided not to color the image to keep the polar bears white, and stick to only 3 colors. The card base is Stampin Up's Bordering Blue, then of course black and white. Stamp-n-doodle has a couple of other Polar Bear images, so if you are a fan of the beautiful animals, you have got to go grab the other images as well.

Now, hop on over to the other DT blogs and then to the SND blog to see the other inspirations and to join us in this weeks challenge to win free digis.

Sympathy Card

Is what I am showing you today. I wanted to keep it very simple, so I made a one layer card with some heat embossing on the front, and a digital sentiment on the inside. My friend's father-in-law past away very suddenly last week, so I thought a handmade card would be a nice gesture. Please forgive my photography, the colors just didn't photograph very well. Here it is:

I got out my retired Stampin Up Soft Sky card stock, and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The cross stamp is from The Rubber Stampede, and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. A little bit of SU retired gold cord tied in a bow, and that was it. Oops, almost forgot to mention a turquoise sticky gem in the cross center!

The sentiment above was typed in MS Word and printed out on my printer, with some Soft Sky ink brushed along the edges.

Fastest card I ever made I think!

Until next time..............Blessings, Lisa

Soft Pencil Tuesday!!!

Hello everyone and welcome to Soft Pencil Tuesday!!! It is 3am here in Ohio, and I can't sleep, so I might as well be crafting and blogging. Silly me. Anyhoo, We DT ladies are showing you creations this week with the new image called "Charmy on a Cupcake", and she is so cute! Here is what I made with it:

So, what do you think? Yep, me too, I thought that Charmy's wings needed some Stickles on them, but I forgot, and after the horrible time I have capturing a good photo, I gave up on the idea. I took a couple of photos under a light, not good tonight, the card looked jaundiced, like when your skin is yellowed. Yucky!!! so, I moved it to my black keyboard where the lighting stinks, and wow, got a better photo. Strange, huh? It's amazing what different types of lighting can do to a photograph, and I should have remembered this back from 1993 when I was in college and took that photography course. Yep, just like I remember all of that Calculus, etc........ Ok, hopefully I have you laughing by now, but if not, so sorry.

Go visit the other DT ladies and see what cuteness they are posting with this adorable image today, and then rush right on over to the Soft Pencil store and buy some digi images, because they will be closing August 1st!!!

Then........come back and visit me next Tuesday because I will be showing you something made with Ratiny on a cupcake!!!!! Love him!!!!!!!

Until next time................Blessings, Lisa

I saw the ribbon on the card at Michael's Craft store a while back and snatched it up, now I had to put it to use. Hope you like it!
